How do I repair my Softboard?Updated 2 years ago

If you experience heat damage that doesn't fall under warranty (e.g. bubble formation on the slick of your board), we suggest you follow these steps at home to repair your board. **Please note this is up to your discretion & we cannot take responsibility for your own repairs.**

  1. Make a small incision in the bubble (using sharp tool or drill) and release the air/moisture.
  2. Pump silicone, either an EPS-safe Epoxy glue or Marine Grade Adhesive Sealant (Sikaflex) into the hole & work it throughout the bubble. You can also use a craft hot glue gun, but be careful not to hold the tip on any area for too long to avoid causing extra damage.
  3. Put pressure over the area to push it back down, and we suggest leaving a heavy item over the slick while it dries to help the silicone set. Leave this for about a week to ensure everything is dry.
